About the Carbon County News

Red Lodge is located at the base of the spectacular Beartooth Pass Scenic Highway, and is a gateway to the Northeast entrance into Yellowstone National Park. Carbon County is noted for its diverse landscape and outdoor opportunities which include fishing, hiking, backpacking, golf, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and exploring. In winter one can ski on Red Lodge Mountain, located on the outskirts of Red Lodge.

The Carbon County News is a weekly newspaper published every Thursday. We have been the number one news source in the county for almost a century. Each week we print in the neighborhood of 3,000 copies of the newspaper for distribution to our paid customers. We also offer graphic design and the production of special sections and booklets.
